Maverick Artist Victor-Hugo Vaca Jr shows his works which demonstrate the blur between pleasure and pain. His "Bleeding Woman" series including "Woman to Infinity" show a face which can either be in extreme pain or the throes of ecstasy. Museum-quality "Sensuous Magic" was created after a discreet viewing of the activities at a local S&M palace, where those in high positions of authority go to experience personal humiliation. The Maverick Artist Victor-Hugo Vaca Jr. returns to The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, Fort Myers, for the February 25th All Star Jam, where, as captured in this 2009 video by Lily Hatchett , Vaca captivated the audiences @ "The Global Warming Art Report" as he created his largest canvas piece to date: "Ronald Reagan & His Monkey". Over 12 feet high, this enormous piece had to be cut in three to transport. Creator of "Modern Art Gonzo Journalism", Vaca's social commentary is as valid today as it was then. Using his medium of communicating through his paintings, the audience will fuel The Maverick Artist with their energy fused with the musical vibes of the All Star group. In his inimitable style, Vaca sometimes shocks with messages he paints on the blank canvas opening the show which mesmerize the audience as he blends and paints current affairs and vital topics into his Contemporary Abstract Art.

Beneath the beautiful composition of the completed fine art piece, this founder of "Modern Art Gonzo Journalism", paints a story exposing the news of the day that is vital to us but often not covered in mainstream media. Starting with a blank canvas set up in the poolside courtyard of the historic Olde Marco Inn at 9am on Thursday, February 9th, Vaca will create a unique work of art to be auctioned off that evening to benefit the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts. Other works will also be displayed for sale with 50% of the proceeds to the foundation.
